SEPTEMBER 9, 2006 - 22 ENTRIES - by Dan Kane, MOH
The first fall trial began when the dogs were cast at 7:15 am on Saturday, Sept. 9th. The weather was a
cool 65 degrees and overcast, with the occasional spit of rain. We had solid running from the get-go, until
pickup at 11:15 am...the dogs still a wailin'.
Steve Solomon brought along the Tim Horton donuts and Ed Dowd provided a tailgate lunch of Kentucky
Fried Chicken, and although he contributed several varieties of soft drinks. most of the boys had other
refreshments. (Sorry, Ed. try a better "brand selection" next time!)
Judging partners Peg-Leg Bob and Hop-A-Long Harry combined to get several quality scores (much to the
amazement of the younger, fleet-footed judges). Their field experience obviously rose to the fore.) All in
all it was a great day to run. Congratulations to Ed Dowd for his win, and we'd like to welcome newcomers
James Bingham, Andrew Curry, and Mark Johnson. The results are as follows:
