SEPTEMBER 6, 2008 - 29 ENTRIES
Daybreak started out dark and dreary with rain threating and high winds rocking tall
trees back and forth. Nevertheless, 29 anxious beagles were cast at 7 am, despite the
handlers' concerns about the potential of poor running. The running conditions were
obviously of no interest to the dogs as they were going hot from the get go until the final
pickup.
When the last dogs were caught up and results read, a hot lunch along with a "Special"
cocktail to help offset the chilled, wet judges was served by Al Fraser. We were
pleased with the addition and participation of old time fox trials trialers Mike
Veltkamp, Todd Deschamps and Paul Hutton. Congrats to Roy Mays for finishing
