As you can see, we had perfect weather for our first all-age trial. It was in the 40's to high 50's in
the morning, and the ground conditions were good. Before the cast, Master of Hounds Dan
Kane read an excerpt from the 1940 book American Beagling by G.G. Black describing the
perfect hound. With 28 entries we enjoyed non-stop running and plenty of game. Doug Geer
and Bob Slack provided the delicious tailgate lunch of beef and venison stew and fresh rolls.
Jason Hall from New York stopped in for a visit with his daughter Dayna. The fellowship was tops
as usual, a good time had by all. The hounds placed as follows:
