This trial was held at Delmer Seales
fox pen on May 23rd with an entry of
35 Raring-To-Goers.....
Away they went at 7AM on that cloudy
cool 42 degrees morning. As the day
worn on the temperature got well up
into the 50 degree range.

3 hours of wall to wall running in the heavy ground Juniper cover took
the toll on several hounds leaving only 17 of the original pack left for
the final hour of the trial.
It has often been said that trials are won in the last hour......no truer
words could have described this trial as the final 17 poured it on at
feverish pace.
Mr Fox began using the pen from end to end, racing through the open
hardwoods, darting here and there amongst the Junipers again and
again.
When the horn sounded ending another terrific Delmer Seale pen type
trial, the top ten were awarded their deserved accolades...with veteran
GBFC Roy's Hank racking up his 6th CBFTA win followed closely by
Todd DesChamps' fine young hound Drifter, in 2nd place. A mere 50
points separated each of the next 8 placements. The results are as
follows:
